Born on May 4th, 1965 in Città di Castello (Perugia).
Married with Massimo; they have a son, Alessandro, and a daughter, Anna.
Received a Laurea degree cum laude in Architecture in 1995 from the University of Firenze.
Received her Ph.D. in Environmental Control Techniques at DIENCA, University of Bologna, in 1999.
Winner of a two-year post-doc grant at DIENCA, University of Bologna, for the academic years 1999-2000 and 2000-2001.
Teacher of Fisica Tecnica ambientale (Environmental Applied Physics) for the "Diploma" degree in "Engineering of the Environment and Resources" at the University of Bologna, during the academic year 1999-2000.
Teacher of Indoor Air Quality at the "Corso di formazione per operatori SIP ECM regionali" organised by USL Modena, Italy, from the year 2000 to the year 2003.
Invited lecturer at the Course on Applied Acoustics held at the Association of Architects of Bologna, Italy, from 28th February to 28th March 2003.
Invited lecturer at the Meeting Acustica ambientale ed architettonica (Environmental and architectural acoustics), held in Bagnacavallo (RA), Italy, on 14 January 2004.
Invited lecturer at the Seminar Acustica - Le prestazioni degli edifici secondo la direttiva europea sui prodotti da costruzione (Acoustics - The performance of buildings according to the European directive on construction products) held in the frame of the "Saiedue 2006" Bologna, Italy, on 17 March 2006.
Her scientific interests include:
Room acoustics: validation of computer codes for sound field simulation in rooms and on the
acoustics of ancient Italian opera houses.
She has been responsible of the acoustic design on several new or refurbished halls for music and conferences.
Building acoustics: She has been involved in the design of the new test rooms for flanking transmission in building acoustics built at DIENCA. She acted as acoustic consultant for many new or refurbished buildings.
Environmental impact assessment of large noise sources and procedures to comply with the recent Italian laws on the subject: as "Tecnico competente in acustica" (Competent technician in acoustics) according to Italian law 447/95, she has been responsible of many assessments regarding roads, railways and factories.
